I've been wanting to nail this song for over a year. I couldn't manage to find out how he managed to play it, so I've never really bothered to sit down and listen closely to Sfogli's work. I signed up for a premium membership on www.infiniteguitar.com and found a very detailed lesson on this song. This is how for I've gotten in more or less two hours.

The rhythm at around 1:00 is cool. I'm a big fan of riffs like that that drive stuff. And your tone is sick. I'm loving it.

I'm using a Diezel Herbert amp through a Bogner 2x12" loaded with V30's, a T-Rex Replica delay pedal.
The guitar is off course a warmoth with Bare Knuckle Pickups.

The thing is, that I don't quite agree on the tone, because in my opinion, it lacks highs. I've got plenty of highs when I'm playing, but the microphone (Sennheiser MD421) doesn't pick them up at all. I think I'll have to buy an SM57 to even out the score  :laughing7:

This was really a one-take-only-take. So the rythm at 1:00 had some slight differences compared to the original.

Hey cool, another Sfogli fan. This sounds very cool - gorgeous playing, but there's a little too much bass in the rhythm tone. Not something I'd adjust the amp for, though - I'd probably blame the MD421. An SM57 will probably even it right out, or you could run a high-pass filter on the track. Awesome cover .

I was thinking to drop the MD421 and use an e906 instead.
