Map of Metal.

very cool - - though I noticed they have Battery by Metallica listed as 1983... I emailed them about it :laughing7:

Nice trip down memory lane, there. I grew some of my first callouses on that stuff. Can't count how many times the cops showed up to shut us down in various guy's garages.

Funeral doom and depressive suicidal death metal are hilarious.

You could fool me. I just went through my baby brother's funeral after his suicidal death a little over a week ago, and we had a tough time finding anything funny about it at all. very much the opposite, actually. My own feelings aside about losing a sibling, there are few things in the world quite as gut-wrenching as watching your mother cry uncontrollably in public over losing a baby. I sincerely and fervently hope you never have to experience such a thing.

its Usually called Funereal Metal, Its usually very sad, dark stuff,I have a large library of it. I don't find it funny.
though I listen to it less and less as I don't feel I need extra reasons to be sad in my life.

As for any genre of Metal that needs more than 3 words to describe it. I just... have a hard time thinking about it.

Not hating on it... it just gives me a headache to try and classify metal any more.

For god's sake, the music(?) is funny. The music has nothing to do with your brother, it's people trying to hard to be different and making themselves look like idiots.

Ok, I'll give you that. I just tripped over "funerals" and "funny", having just suffered a tragedy.

But, you're right. Witness "Metalocalypse". Parodies/satires don't work unless everyone knows the premise they're based on and agrees it needs to be abused. Makes for great humor.

Everyone of those songs that wasn't already on a Metallica Garage Days EP could very well be on the next one.

I don't know about garage days but I think garage inc. was their best album yet!  :party07:

It's a great piece of work. But, I'll never forgive them for stopping production of Ren & Stimpy or Pinky & the Brain <grin>

To be perfectly honest I've tried to enjoy it, but I just don't finnd it funny  :icon_scratch:

I didn't enjoy it at first, either. But, you have to give it time so you learn the character's personalities. Plus, you have to understand that it's a parody. There aren't really any jokes or anything, so it's not inherently funny unless you've been in or around some big acts. Kinda like "Spinal Tap". If you've never been in or involved with a band, most of it will fly over and never hit anything.
