LPs and toggle switch plates

How do you feel about those round toggle switch plates on LPs?

I put one on mine.  I like the classic look.  I also got the cream to go with the cream binding.  For me I can't tell if it is white or cream unless you put them next to one another.  I did get the 400 and 600 grit sand paper out to knock off the injection mold left overs.  I suppose if you were going for the Les Paul custom look, black or no toggle plate would be fine, but I am a sucker for the old Standard look.

I bought one, but I didn`t use it.. I put it on just to see how it was but I pulled it back off.. But I agree it is a must on solid colors.
 
Mine would look weird with the plastic, it's basically the same as the LP pickguard. I think if you want it to look like a Gibson, you need it, but if you just want the LP shape and it will differ in other respects, then definitely no switch. My thinline with the Gibson toggle in the upper horn needs it because it hides an ugly irregular hole. Or, buy it and try it out both ways. It's just a couple bucks.
