Hello, anyone know of software that can be used to make wiring Diagrams (not like paint or photoshop, but something specific to electronics, that would allow you to make changes without having to whip out your eraser icon).

Thanks!

Just scribble them on scratch paper then take a digital photo if you want the e-version. Way easier and faster. Real erasers work great, too.

layers are your friends in photoshop.  i don't know of any wiring specific programs though.

Oddly enough, I've done it in Excel:

Visio comes with (some? all?) versions of Microsoft office.  I've used it before for wiring diagrams.

Now that's cool!
Tell us how to make the lines?

It's called "Shapes" or "Autoshapes", depending on the version, and Word has similar functionality, but I prefer Excel. There's a button for it on the drawing toolbar, or you do Insert-Shapes. After you select the shape you want and draw it, if you drag the middle of the line, the whole line moves, but if you just drag the end, the other end stays where it is.

It's can be kind of tricky to figure out all the options, but it's actually reasonably full-featured as you can group things together and whatnot, and I find it works reasonably well. And much, much prettier than the scribbled Post-It note diagrams I usually start with.
