Locking trem question for current build

Hey guys. I read through most of these post but I just made an account today. I’m building an 80s style superstrat soon with a soloist body. I would really like to use the gotoh Floyd rose if possible.

I emailed warmoth and they suggested getting it routed for an original Floyd rose and using the gotoh with the studs for the OFR instead of the gotoh. Simple enough, but do you guys have any experience in those results?

I’m really gonna be crankin’ on this thing so I really want it to return to pitch as well as possible.

Forum member fdesalvo has experience of this setup or so I believe. So if he see the thread he may be able to give an opinion.

In the meantime, you could search for his threads for the Gotoh.
