Placed my first order.

Telecaster Pro Conversion 24 3/4" neck
Goncalo Alves neck and fretboard
1 5/8" nut width
'59 Roundback shape
6150 frets
Single pearloid straight cross at the 12th fret
Graph Tech white TUSQ nut

I'll be at the mailbox if anyone is looking for me  :)

Congratulations! You're going to be very happy, I'm sure.

Try not to pace at the mailbox. Just sit calmly. Smoke 'em if you got 'em. Bring plenty of beer. Otherwise, people will talk.

I've slowly gone mad waiting for my order to ship. What will make it worse its that even when it's ready to ship the neck will be going to that dude ^ first who will get to handle my wood before me!

I don't have much problem until I finally get the notice that something shipped and I have a real date to look forward to. Then I start getting angry at UPS, geography, the clock/calendar, my procrastination in ordering, etc. Until then, it's all sort of abstract.

You'll have to send me your address and also a cost for full fret work and truss rod set up, threaded inserts and fitment of the shcaller mini lockers.

It's a done deal, just waiting for the green light from Warmoth so I can send it to Cagey.

In any other world, sending a $900 neck to a stranger I've never met and have only know briefly on-line for a matter of weeks seems a crazy idea - but hey, my glass is half full!  :rock-on:

Sounds like a really nice neck, congratulations!

Waiting is a pain! Handed in my guitar for paint 4 weeks ago now, they said it would take 3-4 weeks. Called them today to ask how it is going. They told me it just got primed and the guy doing it is in frankfurt for a week now and they might start painting next week... I'm so frustrated!

:icon_thumright:  Nice
Great to see something different on the fretboard.

OK whats it going on ? .... I know it's a Tele but what ?

Or did I miss something  :toothy11:

I'm buying the parts as I save up the money.  I'll be buying a tele body in a couple of months- swamp ash core.  I might buy something out of the showcase, all depends on what is available.

I like a really clean fretboard but I just wanted something special at the 12th fret.

Consider yourself lucky! My paint took eight months.

Wow, eight months! Alright, I feel better now! :laughing7:

And that's a beautiful neck! I really love the single cross inlay! *Jealous*

I called up on Friday and was told that my body and neck were in the paint shop as I was having the peg head colour matched to the body.

At this stage, normally how long is it before it's complete?

No finger nails left.

Honestly, I know its hard to do - but just get your mind off it. It comes when it comes.

Riddle me this: If you could, would you want the painters to rush your order so you could get it faster?

If history is any kind of teacher, great works of art/paint/sculpture/literature/whatever do not come with speed.

Patience Grasshopper!
