Leslie 145

I brought my Leslie 145 home to do some work on the cabinet and I though I would post a picture of it.  If you ever get a chance to buy one of these with the preamp do not pass it up. This one is has been customized with a bigger horn from a different Leslie model so if you look at the magnet on the driver for the horn it is huge compared to a normal 145.  I run it with an Uncle Spots Stand-Alone Reverb in front of the preamp and it is tone bliss.  There is no effect pedal that comes close to the real thing.

I have the Native Instruments B4 (B3 emulator) and it of course has the simulated Leslie thang-a-ma-doo with it.

One of the coolest tones ever.  Far out man!

Very nice.  I see you have the original 40W amp as well in there.  That's the classic Hammond sound right there!

I always wondered what these would be like for guitar ... but I'm into mini-rigs these days.

Hey Tonar, how does the 125 compare to the 145?  There is a guy selling one that needs help in my area.  I was curious if it was worth it.

I have not heard a 125 so I do not know.  Try it out and if it sounds good grab it.

It is not working, needs parts, a project...  I was curious because I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting the one model that was traditionally a pain.  I'll check if he still has it.

I sent him an email asking if he still had it, I have some spare cash from the pedals I built for friends and will see if I can pick it up.  More fun for the summer, maybe.

The G37 isn't that much more than the the ampless version for a 100W ,  it would work nicely in a bi or triamp setup.

I got the 125.  It has the bass speaker but does not have the tweeter like the 145.  The amp is intact and the switching/input box is missing.  That is OK, I will try to replace it or build my own new one if nothing is available.  The Lacquer on the outside is awful, but the wood is not nicked up much so it is just a refinishing job.  Overall it is very cool.  A summer project.  Oh yeah, it is a nice sized piece of furniture, if anyone gets the chance to get one it makes a great piece next to a couch...  Well it would if was such fun.
