Not a Warmoth , and I can't vouch for quality , but they look well made and reasonably priced considering the real thing goes for $10,000

http://www.languedoc-guitar.com/

I ran across it when I was doing research on the Languedoc for a client .. I'm going to get a blank from Warmoth and carve my own ..  some may find it at least interesting

Yowza - those are crazy blatant copies... they even use the guy's name in the URL!  The pricing looks way too good to be true.

Here are some pics of the actual koa that would be used if you order a Languedoc with koa front and back.

I'm a tad skeptical.

Your copy, Greywolf, will probably be in the range of the genuine article, if your past work is any indicator.  :headbang:

I would think he'd get sued for patent infringement .

I highly doubt he's is using the bracing and carved tops , but some folks don't care ..

Thanks for the kind words.    I enjoy the ups and downs of hand carving , every instrument is a learning experience.

Thanks for the link Greywolf

You know,  as much as we enjoy making guitars around here, I don't like seeing that kind of thing happening.  Languedoc has his money, time, and reputation in those instruments and having copies being made and offered for sale for super cheap is just... just... shabby.

Greywolf - I'm looking forward to seeing your version because I know it will be great.  I'm just not so happy about seeing these other ones out there.

I sent the link to Languedoc's webmaster.  It's unlikely the guy is taking money out of Languedoc's pocket, given that the real guy is probably at capacity since he really does build each guitar himself and there's a significant waiting list, but the Arkansas guy seems to have no trouble dropping Languedoc's name all over the place and cashing in on it.  That just don't seem right.

I agree 100%  for what it's worth .  I admire Languedoc's work , and while this chap seems to have a good idea , at the very least he should make some attempt at making them a bit different or pay licensing fee's to Languedoc.

The builds I do are always different from the original , whether it be scale length, fret count , construction type , pickup /wiring etc .

For any I sell , they are completely unique , if somebody copied one of my originals , while being flattered , I'd be a bit pissed.
