The main reaso for that is the LP and VIPs are carved top. So the Lam top is much thicker. The flat tops (Strat, Tele, etc) are much thinner so the re is more of a choice. I believe if you choose a Double Lam top, you actually get to choose your top from the strat page.
Bottom line, just call Warmoth and talk to a sales rep.
