i was looking around on warmoth,, checking out the koa wood they had,, and the flame piece looked great and the price was lower than the rest of the koa,, and looked the best,, it was a no brainer...not sure what type of neck i will get,, the body is routed for only one pick up,, and that will be a barden,, gatton model,,, and maybe a mark rutter bridge..or a barden..bridge..i may go with a ebony board..not looking to get to fancy...will kick it around for awhile... :sign13:

Whatever you want, just get a headstock matching the fretboard or the body...

yes i was thinking of the headstock matching the body...that would be nice!..maybe maple back in trans brown,, ebony board,,,, and a  koa head stock... ummmm.....buliding your own is GREAT!! thanks everyone for the comps on the gtr....cant wait ill its done..

Ebony board would look and feel great on there. And don't forget some monster stainless steel frets. Actually, with that top you might also consider the gold ones. They're almost as hard as the SS and feel just as good. Either way, it's a tangible and substantial improvement in performance for a small increase in price.

i will check out the ss and gold,,not sure if i have every played on ss .. gold i am sure i have not.. but it sounds good..
i will have to get some more info on them.....and some pics of the gold.. thanks!
