knob issue

The knobs won't fit on the pots I bought.  Should I just drill them out until they fit, or am I missing something?

Are they split-shaft pots or solid shaft.  Split-shaft pots are adjustable.

What kind of knobs are you using?

They are split shaft and I'm using DiMarzio bell knobs.  How do I adjust it?  I've never had to adjust one before.  Do I just pinch it with pliers?

Pretty much, just be careful not to snap one of the legs.

How far off are they? 

Edit:  A little sandpaper wrapped around something small may help widen the bushing a little.  You still want a decent press fit.

Yep, what he said - just pinch them in a bit with pliers.  Shouldn't take much.

Okay.  I think I'm gonna need to definitely work on em with sandpaper.  Pinching with pliers helped a little, but they still are resistant.  This sounds like a job for... me, tomorrow.  Right now I got some Jameson with my name on it.
