Just wanted to mention that I did some more research and am finding I like the sound of the Skatterbrane earthbrane pickups more than any I've been able to find sound clips on and am now leaning toward them for my Custom double bucker Tele build, so Thanks to ocguy106 for clueing me in to Skatterbrane pickups, they seem to be a little clearer and sweet sounding with that ringing midrange that Im looking for.

Glad you liked them. The set I used for my dads build was the goldbranes. I believe these are the same as the woodbranes with the exception of the gold covers. I hope they work out for you. In addition I think you will find working with Rod a real pleasure.
