Super excited to share this build!  A wonderful artist (@mathiaschau_art on instagram) did a custom paint job on this, alder body. The cats are mine, Beatrice (front) and Louis (back)!

Waiting on a neck-- Roasted flame maple, ebony macassar fretboard, arizona turqoise inlays, vintage medium nut width, standard thin, 12" radius, Narrow and Tall Stainless frets.

Pickups are of course Klein Jazzycats, and I wired it up with an obsidian wire.

I'm about 7 weeks waiting on the neck, so hopefully it comes soon!

In the meantime before the neck arrives, what is the PCB under the clear pickguard - is it a prewired harness of some type?

I'm curious as well.  Does not look busy enough to be active, but I guess it could have SM components on the other side...

oops! i left that out-- just an ObsidianWire w/ blender. made things way easy. So, yes, pre-wired harness.

Thanks I wondered if it might be one of those or something home-brewed. Good luck with the build  :icon_thumright:

I really like the use of artwork in combination with a top-routed body and clear pickguard.    :kewlpics:

Fantastic artwork, just wonderful for a guitar top. I think having an artist finish it is always such a great idea and creates such unique guitars. What a piece of art!

Higher quality pics coming but here it is fresh out of the box!

Hahaha. Love it.

Small update...I broke the back off a locking tuner, and I had cut my pickup spacers too small so they don't adjust right. What's a couple more days >_>
