I ve had the LPS body for a while but the neck has just arrived today, in one piece, although the packaging on this one I feel could have been a bit better,  as for the neck, great job again from the folks at Warmoth .  If things go according to plan I will be getiing a Gibson P94 for this one in the bridge position and maybe a seymour Duncan or other Humbucker for the neck, any tips ?. Thanks

Is this the Rio Grande pickup you are refering to http://www.riograndepickups.com/scart/ProductPage.asp?ImageLink=TXN&ProductName=For+Humbuckings

Yes, you can get them from Warmoth at a discount, but they may not have all colors in stock.

Yeah I thought about that, but Rio Grande have a word of caution about international shipping on thie website re aftersales service, i am sure it would be Ok, but I might try and find a dealer nearer to home, I have looked but not found any yet.  Thanks.

Don't know where you're at, int'l dealers listed here:

Spain, tried that Barcelona number they are getting back to me on it. Thanks again.

Killer guitar!  That neck is great, I have a similar one (except it's a strat).  What's the body, mahogany?

Yeah its mahogany, looking forward to getting together, have you pics of your guitar on here?.

Yes, they're in the strat section... I think the post is called S-Paul or something.  My neck is also "an Indian rosewood, Ebony board, SS frets, standard thin contour."

:rock-on:

I might add that those photos suck... the colors are nasty and the resolution is bad.  I should replace them with some nice ones.

Edit: Not your photos, those are nice!  I meant my cameraphone photos of my strat.

Just had a look at your guitar, nice job, love the way you placed the controls, a la tele.  Did you ever swap out the pickup?. I just bought a set of Gibson p94s for this bulid so wating for them to arrive and start getiing it all together.

The Indian rosewood + tuners look real classy!

If you or anybody else from Europe are still interested in Rio Grande pups, Banzai in Germany sells them:

Thanks for the info, but I have just bought a pair of P94 Gibson pickups, waiting for them to arrive, hoping tomorrow.

No, I didn't swap the pickup.  The '59 is still my favorite but the Custom 5 really comes through over a drummer.

Got my pickups yesterday, 2 P94 Gibson, they were an Ebay purchase, started out just looking to buy the black and gold one but ended up getting the creme one also, looks a bit odd but I am not to bothered if its goin to sound good.  Not wired yet just mounted for a look.
