OK - although I have visited this forum numerous times, I am a new member who is finally working on his first Warmoth build. For this body, I decided on an unfinished solid swamp ash body from the showcase. Tonight, I will begin my attempt at a "ceruse" finish to try and do something very similar to the old Gibson Voodoo finish (black with dark red grain filler). For the neck, I opted to custom order a 24 3/4 Gibson scale conversion neck: wenge/ebony (black), bloody basin jasper dot inlays, standard thin, compound radius, 6100 fretwire, LSR Roller Nut prep. The neck looks fantastic. The dots are a little darker than they show in the close up, but lighter than they show on the far away picture. I'm pretty stoked to get started and I'll post updates as I complete each step of the finishing process. Wish me luck! :rock-on:
