:headbang1: I ordered this neck for a project I'm doing. I have an old Ibanez RT150 body that I'm stripping and refinishing, and routing for a Gotoh Floyd rose. I've had the guitar since I was 13 (I'm 29 now). The neck is wrapped to hell, so I figured it would be fun to revive it with a W neck (as well as all new PU's, custom pickguard, etc...). Once the project is complete I'll definitely post up some pics.

Here's a terrible pic taken from my Blackberry, which does it no justice!

Here's a rundown of the specs:

Quartersawn Maple neck and fretboard
No inlay
SS6100 frets
24 fret extention
Wolfgang contour
Variax headstock
1 11/16" nut
R3 shelf nut (no mounting holes, I have a top mount Gotoh nut I'll have the holes drilled for)

The pic is after 1 coat of Truoil. I plan on doing about 10 coats, or how ever many it takes to get a durable finish.

The wolfgang contour, after a test feel doesn't seem too asymmetrical. A little disappointing, but it has a nice amount of thickness which is what I wanted. Obviously I'll have to wait until the guitar is completed to make a final judgement. Also, the volute basically nonexistent, unlike on my Ibanez Prestige - which is freakin' huge. Not a big deal at all, but I was expecting it since all angled headstock's have one. Has W gotten away from this lately?

That said, the workmanship is flawless. The fretwork is amazing. I look forward to seeing how smooth the stainless steel frets feel.  :hello2:

Cheers!

I love the grain of qtr sawn maple and always wanted to see someone use it for fb material.  Stoked about your neck!

looks cool! i almost bought an old Roadstar body to put a warmoth neck on it, but hadn't assembled a guitar before at that point and was afraid i wouldn't come out of it with a decent guitar. i'm looking forward to seeing this one finished! looks awesome! the grain on that neck is great
