BKPs in the mail. Two Abraxas (Abraxases, Abraxi ???) and one 63 Veneer Board for my H-S-H config. That was fast! I don't even have the guitar to wire them in yet. I will post a pic when I get home from work.

Stupid question: how can I tell which one is the bridge and which one is the neck? They are in the same box and they look identical. Or does it not matter? This shows how little I know about putting a guitar together...

Will have a label on each wire. (B) & (N)  :icon_biggrin:

I got a Abraxas (B) & a Mule (N) on this baby ....  http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=17679.0

Can label yourself with a permanent marker on the bottom of each one. (best idea for future reference)
On each box it tells which is which, only got to remember which came from which box

When I got mine I got a set a strings in each box, a pick and a drink coaster.

I presume the coaster is for the drink you have while you put the strings on and the pick to play when finished  :laughing7:

 Thanks for clearing that up for me, oops!

Nice axe!! How do you like the pickups??

Yep nice, I quoted something here about that ...  http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=17679.msg261229#msg261229

Plus it one of my top picks when I go and grab a guitar to play  :icon_biggrin:

Cool, good read! Yeah, I basically got the BKPs on a suggestion from someone on here, I had never heard of them before. Can't wait to fire them up! I'm shooting for a tone that will be a mix of Allman Brothers and Al DiMeola.

Yeah I saw all the goodies they included: strings, pick, coaster, flyers, etc. Not too shabby!

Take it easy, Tip, eventually I'm going to have to make a decision on my own.  :help:

i was just going to ask the forum the same question.  My VHII calibrated set just arrived this week.  It had the individual DC testings listed but no mention which was the bridge.

i appreciated the extra's as well.  and it should be mentioned that tim at bkp was very professional to deal with.  his recommendations were spot on, and he took the time to learn about my project and what sound i was going for.

good luck on the abraxi (?) set...the clips online sound killer.

Thanks for not letting me be the only noob that didn't know B from N.  :help:

Thanks, I can't wait to fire these up and use them in conjunction with that 63 Veneer Board. Those VHIIs sound sick, too, those would do well in a superstrat of mine. Hmmm.....

Yeah, definitely let us know how they sound! I'm thinking Abraxas(B)/Emerald(N) for my BK Les Paul right now, I'm especially curious how you like the Abraxas in the neck since I'm still torn on Abraxas or Emerald there.

You got it! Once it's put together I will post pics, sound clips, and videos.

If the pole pieces are spaced slightly wider on one pup than the other, then that's another way to identify the bridge. (as I've never had 'em, I don't know if they do this or not)

well, when i got home last night i had to see if the label was there...it was...i'm an idiot

i guess when i opened it up last week, i just looked at the pickup itself...in my defense, the wires are not a very obvious place to
look (trying to save face here)

now to find the time to get this fiddle put together and see what all the fuss is about...cheers!

I have an Abraxas sitting on my bench (dining room table) waiting on my warmoth body to arrive!  If you build yours first, let us know how it sounds!

For your future reference, "Abraxas" is the plural form as well as the singular, and a mistaken transcription of the greek "Abrasax".  22 years later, that masters degree in English finally pays off! YEAH!  :cool01:
