I'm surprised you didn't like the Fender noiseless pickups, though. I've not used them so I don't know, but everything I've heard about them has been good.

Depending on which generation of noiseless Fender pups we're talking about...


The first one or two iterations really were quiet, as advertised - but they lacked top-end edge of the kind you're constantly reminding us it's better to have and roll off than to not have and never be able to generate.  I didn't like 'em at all, even taking into account 60 Hz hum.  I think they've improved the high-freq performance in the more recent versions.

I've got the first gen Fender Noiseless in my strat and my brother in-law has the 2nd gen.  I love the first gen in mine.  I find them amazing compared to the MIM stock pups it came with.
