I saw that this morning and wasn’t sure if anyone actually knew of him

Interesting guitar aspect, on Bat out of Hell, Pat Thrall was the guitarist who then played with Pat Travers.

Then again, most don't recognize Pat Travers.

Such a true song ... STOP RIGHT THERE! ... What's it gonna be BOY ... so now I'm praying for the end of time.

THAT's GREAT!  One of the best pop songs ever.

PS Seen Pat Travers at a little roadhouse in upstate new york.  Good show.

A side note, I was at a jam night and we were just starting Boom Boom. Who walks in other than PT himself (he’s a local and I think the band actually selected and timed that song for him). He was invited onstage and it was a good time for all.

Except for those sitting in on guitar, I was sh1ting a brick.  I’m playing this dudes song and he’s joining us. LOL.

i dont know much about him but still rip. I also don't know much bout meat loaf other than any time my mother (also rip) would cook it she would play Paradise By the Dashboard Light in its entirety while we ate. The first 100 times its pretty funny when your a kid but the next 200+ when you bcome a teenager and your friends come over it's not so funny. If that song was my stepbrother and got stuck in dryer, I'd turn it on.

My buddies got into Bat Out Of Hell when it was on the charts in Australia.

MeatLoaf toured with the show in 1978 or so, we all went along to a Sydney show.
Steinman was on stage with a Grand Piano. Did some of the narrative...

Many years later saw the Classic Albums episode on the album. Steinman had this album down pat. Todd Rundgren polished it up and added studio tech to the equation. Todd added the ending 'motorcycle' guitar solo in ONE take for the Title song. Amazing. It's a great album about teenage angst, VERY theatrical. The singing nearly killed MeatLoaf each show, very operatic.

RIP Jim Steinman & thanx for teaching many Aussie guys about baseball!  :laughing7:
