I read the news today. O boy.
A great talent succumbed to cancer at 41 in Toronto.
The guitar world will miss him.

I saw that on TGP earlier.

41 years old, simply amazing what he accomplished. I'm going to stop complaining about my arthritis, considering what he overcame.

The Great Gig In The Sky has a new arrival. I think he'll fit right in.

I'd never heard of Jeff Healey, until I saw him in a movie with Patrick Swayze, called Roadhouse a few years ago. (Swayze is a nightclub bouncer who comes in to set the town straight after local bad guy tries to take over the town.  Jeff was the 'House Band')
I went out straight and bought all of his albums that I could find, which was quite hard as his music was never as big here the UK as it should've been.

He was scheduled to be on 'Later....With Jools Holland' (UK music show, with awesome bands playing live), which I was really looking forward to. And I was gonna try and get tickets for his tour.

Gutted.  RIP Jeff.  :icon_thumright:

My dad took me to see Jeff at the House of Blues in Chicago when I was 12 or so, phenominal.  RIP Jeff, you'll be missed.
