Jazzmaster Bridge Post Holes

Just got my Warmoth Jazzmaster body and the bridge post holes are about a 1/16" off meaning I can't fit my Mastery bridge on the body.  The holes measure about 2 15/16" from C-C instead of the 2 7/8" they're supposed to.  Any recommended fixes?

If it was me, I'd call Warmoth and bitch. There's not really a fix for that, other than plugging the holes and re-drilling them. I put a Mastery bridge on a Jaguar about a year ago for someone here, and as I recall they don't have any slop to them at all. Those mounting holes need to be spot-on or it's a non-starter. I remember being surprised at how tight those dimensions were. If they're off by a 32nd, you're out of luck.

Well...they're gonna fix it but there has been a complete unwillingness on their end to rush the shipping or reimburse any cash.  That's a little lame to me as this is technically a defective body now and I'm really curious to what they're going to do with the finish and such.

I'm just guessing, but I'd bet they're going to build/finish you a new body. As I said earlier, there's not really any fixing that problem. That's probably why they won't give you a delivery schedule. I'm guessing again, but it wouldn't surprise me if you're looking at another 8 weeks.

But, I wouldn't cry about that if it were me. If I'm right, they're making it right as best they can. There's no way to get that sort of thing done quickly.
