My first Warmoth project  arrived today. Its cost a small fortune to getting all the parts through UK customs, but I'm very pleased. Sorry for all the reflections in the photos but they'll have to do for now.

The body was straight out of the Showcase, Swamp Ash with Spalted Maple Top with Tobacco Burst finish. The neck is Goncalo Alves neck and fretbroad with standard contour, 6150 Stainless steel frets and side dots only.

I'm waiting for the pre-amp to arrive and then I'll have everything I need to finish it. Can't wait to play the thing.

Thanks to the guys at Warmoth, thanks to making such awesome pieces. I've already have plans for a couple more pieces.

Oh man, I'm a sucker for spalted maple, and it pairs very nicely with the GA neck - what kind of pre-amp/pickups are you using?

Even though I'm not a fan of gold hardware, I have seen it look OK at times ... but most of the time it's just gaudy as hell.

Some are coming to the Showcase but not for Unique Choice. Spalt is too unpredictable to work with to be able to offer it in unique choice.
