So check out these rather unglamorous pictures of my rig (missing the delay I've had on semi-permanent loan from a friend). It usually looks a lot sexier but the lighting's bad and I'm too lazy.

So today I was rummaging through some of the "throw away" stuff we've got in the house and found this old, crackly set of computer speakers, complete with subwoofer. I figured I'd give it a try through my rig before letting it get tossed. It sounds incredible. I've got it running parallel with my amp, skipping all the effects on my board except the first wah and bad monkey. Might be the single cheapest and best thing I've ever done for my tone. The bass is THERE and I can use my wah without being terrified of bass-less squeal (the reason I've got that second wah on there in the first place). I've got it set up so that when the tuner pedal is ON, the subwoofer is off so I can take up a smaller footprint in the band's mix and that danelectro eq there boosts the bass and overall volume of the subwoofer so I've got three different subwoofer settings right there. I've got no decent mics or recording gear but maybe next time I'm over where my band jams I can get something recorded. Anyway, if you've got a spare subwoofer, try it with your amp. Just make sure you hide it BEHIND your amp any time you're playing for an audience.
