Not sure if this is a known issue, or if anyone else is having the same issue, but I thought I'd mention that if i go to 'unofficialwarmoth.com' I just get "410 Gone". It's been like that for quite a while now.

Me too... but I only got it in Chrome, even after I did a full purge on my cache.  Worked fine in IE under Windows and in Safari on my wife's Mac.

It happens more often on my mobile devices. But I get it somewhat oftenish.

Yeah there was a server issue.
I was in contact with the tech folks Via FB last week.
from what I was told it should be all fixed at this point.

I've been having the issue on my phone for a few days now.

Edit: For the record, I use Chrome on an iPhone 5.

Right, does seem to work on Safari. I've never seen this before and I still get it both on my phone and on my laptop using chrome. I can't confirm anything regarding windows.

I had the same problem last week for days on every computer I tried.....office, home, mobil, etc.  I just assumed the site was down for a while........then when i returned didn't read about it and did wonder if it was just me.  Interesting.....

I got it on chrome, but only at work; -it's fine on chrome at home, so I figured my boss teamed up with the IT guys to try make me get back to work!  :laughing7:

I was getting the same error but only when going to http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/

http://unofficialwarmoth.com/ works fine

They look the same but the www means they are entirely different domain names, the www name is an alias for the name without the www.

Possible causes are the www domain name expired or the redirect stopped redirecting people going to http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/ to http://unofficialwarmoth.com/

It seems to be working again now.

Unfortunately, if you haven't worked it out yet, I work in I.T.  :tard:

Actually they are the same domain names. All the www. means is that it is the web server at the domain after the dot. Not putting www. It will usually default to the web server in any case. Where the www. Is referring to the host name of the web server.

For example

Domain.com would be a second level domain. The .com is the first level.

Tshirts.domain.com
Mugs.domain.com

Are both sub domains of domain.com

Http://

The http is the protocol in use hypertext transfer protocol and the :// separates the protocol information from the domain you could also have for example ftp://fred.domain.com which would be using the file transfer protocol to reach the server called Fred at domain.com

That said your browser cache probably has treated the URL without the www. Differently to the one with. But it hasn't got anything to do with being different domains. There could be other reasons to do with load balancers etc but it isn't a different domain. Without the www may be considered a different host but usually it would be set up to be forwarded to the same device or devices.

How about messages? I have only access in the messages from the last message page in my profile, not the earlier ones. Same on IE & Chrome, 403 Permission Denied. Also, I can't modify my profile.

I rest chrome first and that meant I could at least access the forum, but i've resently cleared my cache, reset chrome and cleared all browsing data and I can access messages just can't seem to access 'modify forum profile'.

On an iPAd at the moment and also see the 403 error when going to profile, I will try from a PC later but this could actually be a permissions setting that is missing or not correct on the server itself.

Just checked via my PC and a browser I had not logged on with before. Same 403 permissions error when trying to access profile settings. Its probably a permissions error on the server.

Will send a message to one of the Admins.
