Is a Strat Jack on rear rout possible?

I like the strat style controls and output jack but I really dislike pickgaurds. Also from the way I hold my guitars in the seated postion the output jack on the side of the guitar digs into my leg and is annoying. So my question is if anyone knows if warmoth can do a rout about the same size as a strat top rout but on the rear and have a strat style top jack as an upcharge or something.

It most  certainly is.

Oh, it's not my guitar. I just found it in the gallery. Although I put one on my tele/strat hybrid thing and I kinda remember it costing $45. Don't quote me on that, I think I still have the emails. I'll have a definite answer later.

*EDIT*
Turns out it wasn't that hard for me to find that email after all. It's definitely $45.

i know jazzmasters have the strat route as a standard option, regardless of top/rear routing.

I was thinking of doing this myself on an earlier build. A while ago, I called up warmoth and talked to someone, who made sure that I realized that the jack (on a rear-routed body) would be mounted some very thin wood.  If you're energetically bopping around onstage, it's possible to actually rip out the jack if you fall and the cord is angled just right.

I don't play live, and won't be anytime soon. But for other people, it could be a consideration.

It's really easy to do yourself, with hand tools it takes maybe an hour, tops. Drill + keyhole saw + rasp. Of course, = voided warrantee.... :cool01:

It's actually the polite thing to do. Keeps from using up somebody else's bandwidth, which they pay for.
