i occassionally come across something interesting on ebay - sometimes a real good deal as well.

here is a guild mini-hb set which you *might* land a sweet deal on :

the other day i saw a gibson firebird mini-hb set go for like $80.

likewise if others see something interesting (ebay, musiciansfriend, warmoth etc) they can post on this thread - to the benefit of all forum members (if it is of interest and is not in conflict with the rules of this forum).

USE EXTREME CAUTION

I'm saying this because, Guild pickups were a thing of their own, and DO NOT FIT standard routes or pickup rings.  Neither do their rings match length or width of standard rings.

They are a size unto themselves.

I've got a nice Guild S-100 (SG sort of).  Its from 72ish and the rings are bakelite, and beginning to crumble.  I looked all over for NOS rings and tried to see if the Schaller (weird) rings would work.  Nothing fits, except those Guild rings.  Anyway... I ended up layering on black superglue, and sanding and filing it all down to blend in.  Also building up inside the ring for support.  Basically had to use super glue like bondo, to make up for the missing bakelite.  It came out ok, but was a long process, layering on glue every night for a few weeks.  The sanding and shaping only took a short time.

Just know they're in their own little universe.
