installing a Schaller sureclaw in a HSS strat body

the reason i wanted to install a sureclaw was mainly because it looked cleaner and well designed compared to traditional 2 screw claw. another reason would be the ease of adjustment and i generally dislike the idea of drilling my guitar body with the traditional long screws. i'm actually quite new to the hobby of guitars and guitar building, this is my first ever guitar build so i'm still sort of figuring things out. any tips or recommendations are greatly appreciated!

If you are using a Warmoth body the holes for the claw are already drilled. If not, you need an aircraft bit to do the job. 7/64" is the size to use but 1/8" works well also.

The below post has a Warmoth body where I filled the holes and relocated them where you can see an aircraft bit in use.

If you check the Welcome to the Forum thread in my signature that has lots of links to build threads etc and useful information that may be of help to you.
