People of Unofficial Warmoth,

My colleagues and I are a high school group working on a project for our Engineering Design and Development class. We envision making a new guitar which is more versatile and customizable for the needs of any musician. We would appreciate if people would be willing to take this simple survey. It would help us out tremendously, Thanks!

Josh, you need to adjust your survey options a little I think.

E.g what if someone does not prefer a humbucker over a single coil, and likes both.

Active and passive pickups.

Neck width.

Scale length, it depends and may not be one or the other.

If you don't have enough options you'll end up with a skewed result.

You know it's not always this versus that.

I hate to sound like the old fart I'm becoming, but didn't Fender already do that? Called it a Stratocaster?

Josh-

A senior design project by a group at Stevens Institute in Hoboken (NJ), is working on a design using a Raspberry Pi processor to incorporate programmable effects into a guitar. It was written up in the Stevens Indicator. You may find some ideas there.

Good luck!
