Imgur blocking images

FYI. Imgur are now blocking all content from showing up in my region of the world, namely the UK.

Anyone in the UK who has an account with them is no longer even able to log in.

I got hosed when Photobucket sh#t the bed decades ago. Never used a hosting site since. Just added a 12GB NAS this year to the ones I already have. Storage space is dirt cheap! I remember buying a 286 PC in the 80s when they first came out. I upgraded to an 80MB hard drive and thought, I’ll never fill that up.

A lot of the earlier build threads had images hosted on Photobucket. Fortunately, I had local copies and updated my threads using Flickr to host the images.

It is definitely worth having local storage as well as cloud based. Of course, local storage does not help host images for serving content.
