I'm sorry guys and gals, but this puppy's mine.

the back is korina, the neck is quartersawn wenge with an ebony board. i decided to pull the trigger on this one after having JUST lost an auction on ebay, which was virtually the same, but with EMG pickups and a padouk neck and pau ferro board.

I like wenge, and perhaps padouk might have looked better on this guitar, but hey, padouk will turn brownish anyway, so its not that bad.

The pickups will be a superdistortion/jb hybrid in the neck AND bridge, with an alnico5 for the neck and a ceramic in the bridge. chrome hardware, not gold for a change.

this will be the true 16th build. a guitar I got which I thought to be warmoth was actually a no-name guitar.

the guitar will get an overall vintage vibe with modern appointments.

That is so ironic.  MY son had a minor "accident" with his LP and we have decided to refinish.  HE printed up that exact guitar of WARMOTH and said that is what he wants.

I find it to be a masterpiece too. i won't be doing the gold 3 pup thing. no gold, only chrome. no 3 pickups, just 2. but i will get my 6100 frets!

@line6man I have thought about it, but I like the les paul shape more. not to mention the feel and vibe. I think I know myself rather well, and buying something else than a les paul is a waste of money; I won't play it anyway...

it stopped bugging me a long time ago I actually like it its not like gibson. gibson has many more faults than this lonely, only pickup placement on a warmoth...

and no, never more than one at the time.

It actually keeps me from buying a conversion neck, because I know it would drive me INSANE!  Haha.  I wish they did a thing like with the 7/8 bodies with the correct placement for a 24.75 neck, or, I should say, at not a big upcharge.

I really don't see it anymore. I like the feel of a conversion neck, and the pickup, well, I think it became part of my tone. as long as I can get squeelly pinch harmonics, I'm happy.
