I'm not a Tele man, but this floors me.

It looks like both knobs say "tone" on them.  I realize they can say anything regardless of what they do, but is it possible that this has two tones and no volume?

I cant imagine a reason for putting two tone knobs on other than actually having two tones.
If one was volume, it would say volume.

*Insane Thought*
Just maybe its a 2 band eq? That would further support the idea that there is a battery or preamp under the cavity in the upper horn.

It's like he had some interesting ideas - separately on their own, but put together it's all a mess.

That guitar is deceptively schizophrenic... it doesn't even know what it is.

For some, this lack of identity fascinates them.

(That's my Freud-ish evaluation LOL)

This one has some good ideas, and some bad ones at the same time. I do like the color choice on it--the cherry finish on there screams Gibson SG to me. The Les Paul cavity in the back boggles me. Either its for a toggle switch in that spot, or a place to hide a battery for an active pickup system, althought I've never seen FilterTrons set up in an active application. One thing I do think is kind of cool is the use of the FilterTrons. I always thought about maybe doing a rockabiliy-inspired Tele with a stock early 50s flat-pole tele pickup in the bridge, and having a FilterTron in the neck, to get a little bit of a Gretsch sound.

The Steinberger tuners are cool, but not on here. They would be perfect on a Firebird, mainly due to the fact that the reverse firebirds had banjo tuners installed for a more discreet look. A Tele headstock is just too small for the big Steinbergers. Also, the bridge is not right for a Tele either. I would pick something like a decent hardtail bridge like you can get from Warmoth over what's on there--just seems too modern for a Tele.

Ohh well, that's my 2¢.

To me, the lines are all off. The smooth curves of the body, and then the curves of the pickguard, and then the knobs are there, lined up perpendicular to the strings, cutting off the circular movement of the rest of the body. It has no flow, to me. I can't deal with that.

really like the shot of the back with the transition from neck to body. That looks killer.

Obviously a divisive look, and a good example of individual aesthetics.

The way the pickguard meets the bridge reminds me of a Stingray, and I don't mind it.  i always thought the standard tele with it's truncated pickguard and weird metal control plate sticking out of the guard really odd.  But to each his own!

Apparently, there is no volume...
Both knobs say tone.

Edit:
The tuners are fugly. Take a look at the headstock shots.

Perhaps it was made for Nigel Tufnel, he had them set the volume to 11 and then remove it to ensure that it would never get turned down.  It is, after all, rock and roll.

Or

It has only one volume;  LOUD.
