I'm not a Tele man, but this floors me.

Thought some Tele fans here might get a kick out of this too.  I'm already trying to justify building something similar.

Love the look and especially that finish. Hate the control layout - I would constantly be hitting the pup switch when strumming, and the vol control is in an inconvenient place for quick adjusting.

Apparently, there is no volume...
Both knobs say tone.

Edit:
The tuners are fugly. Take a look at the headstock shots.

True, the tuners are a bit ugly....but they do have a 40:1 ratio.  I like the use of the TV Jones pickups though.

Very nice.

I would move the vol. knob where the switch is, the tone knob where the volume knob is and put the switch where the tone knob is.

Other than that, this is a lovely ax that wouldnt kick outa bed for eating crackers.  I'm a single-cutaway fan.  So lovely.  It looks like a melding of Gretch, Fender and Gibson all in one.

custom control cover but then black plastic toggle cover for non existant toggle in upper part? That brdge has peen pretty much universaly panned here at the forum as well. I like the neck heal but hat isnt a huge deal on tele's.

doesn't do  it for me.. don't like the tuners, pickguard, and control lay out..
other than that, great color scheme :)

This is lovely:

Using a mahogany top with a maple back sounds almost backward, but then if the maple neck mates to the maple back, it could result in some excellent sonic properties. Any really non-traditional wood choices are a crapshoot, anyway - you just have to build a mahogany Tele (maple set-neck, Grestch pickups?) and see what happens...

Why the hell is there a Les Paul switch rout in the upper horn and no controls there?
Those are beautiful pictures, I'm sure that guy could make me a mean guitar but I don't care for that particular setup.

Sorry, that one gets a no times infinity. There are so many things wrong with that it's impossible to know where to start.

I just saw that. Very weird indeed.

Those pickups look passive to me, but just maybe theres a battery in there to power something?

it's a custom build. May be the guy wanted the toggle there and half way through the build he changed his mind.

(?)

A: It might be the best sounding guitar ever....
B: in which case, there's something "WRONG" with all the Les Pauls, Strats, and Warmoths....
C: Then again - it might not be the best sounding ever...
D: (?)

I agree that the controls are not in the position I would like them personally, myself.  But I find the colour, the sleek lines, matched by the sleek tuners and slim headstock, and the unusual curvy pick guard works really well for my eye.

But as I said in the heading, I'm not normally a tele guy, so perhaps that's why I really dig it, and others do not.

she is an incredibly elegent piece of work.

i gotta say (besides the obvioulsy non-standard pg and layout), that the thing that kills it for me are the black plastic knobs. they just look so flimsy and cheapo.

but hey, each to their own, thats what custom building is all about; what YOU want
