Hi there, just want to say hello.
I've found myself coming to this forum quite often lately so I thought I would join. You guys are building some cool guitars!
At the moment I've got no chance of owning a Warmoth, no cash (spare or otherwise!) so I'm going to have to make do with saving untill I can afford one and coming here to drool over the guitars others are making.

If I could afford one it would be something like this:

Walnut flat top les paul body
Birds eye maple neck and fretboard with a walnut veneer on the headstock (I know the veneer in the pic is rosewood but was the closest I could get!)
Gold frets
Gold hardware
Original Floyd Rose

I had to use Paint to modify the picture (created with http://www.frankmontag.com/hobbys/custom_lp_style_guitar.htm) so it could be done better but you get the idea.

They don't charge your card until it's ready.

Price increase seems to not include hardware...so, you could order the body and neck today, and you'd have about two months to get the money in your account.  :icon_biggrin:

I feel your pain, dude... I first discovered Warmoth like 6 years ago when I was shopping for my first electric... but I was in high school at the time so I played a Peavey Crapocaster for the next 5 years until I could afford a Warmoth.

The only really bad increases are on carved tops and he appears to be getting a flat top.

Flat top bodies now cost $.01 more.  Carved top bodies now cost $1000000 more,l and come with a gold-plated Cadillac.

carved tops are about 60 percent more...and indian rosewood is more...but flat tops arent bad

I've not thought too heavily about the pickup, maybe go old school with a DiMarzio Super Distortion or I fancy trying a Bareknuckle Mule. Any thoughts?
