If Fender Controls Gretsch.....

According to the wiki: In late 2002, Gretsch and Fender reached an agreement giving Fender most control over marketing, production, and distribution of guitars (although the Gretsch family still owns Gretsch Guitars).

You'd probably have to secure the licensing rights from both FMIC & Gretsch to make that happen.

The don't control Gretsch, but they DO control Guild as a wholely owned subsidiary.  I'm all for them adding Guild's Gibson-esque shapes like the Bluesbird or Polara.

I loved the Nightbird my buddy had, but to be honest...
