This is a suggestion for the forum, not for Warmoth exactly. Threadnomancy is defined as "a long-dead thread, resurrected by a newbie" and here, they keep popping up in your "Show new replies to your post." I mean, "show us your pictures" (?) I'm already three years closer to death than I was on some of these, and I just don't care what I thought back then, I've changed my mind twice since...  I just want to not read "replies to my posts" that are two years old, I just wanna a button that lets me LEAVE.

All the browsers I've ever seen already have a button like that: the "Back" button. Clicking on that just bounces you back one page to where you were before you got to where you are.

Another option, if you'd rather not get notifications from a particular thread any more, is to click on "PROFILE" on the menu bar at the top of the forum page. It'll bring up some details about your membership here, and puts up a little menu to the left of the page. One of the major categories on that menu is "MODIFY PROFILE", and under that there's a selection titled "Notifications and Email".  Click on that, and a new screen shows up where you can configure several things about your notifications and Email, and below that there'll be a big box that lists all the threads you're currently subscribed to. You can row through those, checking off threads you don't care about anymore, and when you're done, click on the "Unsubscribe" button at the bottom of that box. Works like a charm.

Be aware that the box only lists 15 threads at a time, so you may have to go through some number of pages to see all the threads you've ever subscribed to.

I never used the 'notify' option...
I just check 'unread posts' every time I visit the page..

You don't have to check the "Notify" button. If you post to a thread, you automatically get subscribed unless you have that option turned off in your profile.

I guess I had it turned off from the beginning...  :dontknow:

... and ...

I suspect this very thread to be the must bump'ed in years ahead  :icon_jokercolor:

Aw man ... I ate way too much white bread today ...

I think I'm the only one here that has never used the unread posts feature. :blob7:
I just go through the forum and pick and choose what topics I read. Of course, I miss most of what gets posted that way.

Here's an idea....If you don't like what's on TV, change the channel...

Some of these threads are like Republicans/deranged homeless people; just walk on by, don't make eye contact, or do anything to encourage them...

I like it when the thread is 2 years old and the OP is asking about a possible purchase, as in soon.  Sure enough, the necroposter chimes in with what they oughta get.  Okay, 2 years have gone by, the OP still hasn't bought that thing yet?

Don't be silly. You don't know what's good for you, and have no way of deciding that on your own. There needs to be a law. Nanny Gummint knows best, since only the most highly paid lobbyists and heaviest campaign contributors get to pass along advice.

That sure was a needless injection of politics.
