I just found out Photobucket is no longer hosting my pictures.

Years of compilation have now gone to cyber wasteland. No one informed me they are now asking for subscription. My pictures at this forum have all disappeared. Sad indeed

This happened more than a year ago. But all is not lost.

The photos are still there. I just checked through some of your old posts and saw some hosted on Photobucket.

So you can either pay them a subscription and retrieve your photos until you can move them elsewhere or:

If you are using Chrome find an extension called "Photobucket Embedded Image Fix" at the Chrome Web store its free.

You should then be able to view the photos in your posts and download them. Then use Flickr or another reliable hosting site and replace all of the photos in your posts.

Stratamania, thanks for the Chrome fix link.  I managed to get all the pictures saved onto my drive to seek out another photo hosting provider.

Be aware that once you have that extension installed, you'll see all the Photobucket pics that you normally wouldn't, so you may not be able to warn others their pics are in limbo or notice when you have old links at other places.
