No that would be one that says NASCAR, Grand Am and Grand Prix racers are much more evolved... :icon_biggrin:

Who in their right mind would buy that? Think of all the bad things it has. Humbuckers, ugly headstock, stupid tuners, advertisements, a repugnant finish, no six point trem, and only two knobs and one switch, AND it's an LP shape. Really? (No offense to Orpheo, but this is one **** ugly LP-style guitar.)

Hehe! You gotta love ol' Early, what with all his musicatin' and explanationizin' <grin>

Who the hell actually wants a six-point trem? (Aside from vintage Fender purists.) They are the worst things ever. Unless you set them to dive only, they move all over the place.

I wouldn't call them "the worst things ever", but they are pretty far down the list of bridges one might seriously consider using. They're certainly better than the Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridges, and miles ahead of some of the laughable stuff Gibson used to offer. But, to be fair, those guys were just trying to make a vibrato bridge available to the general public at a reasonable cost, as the only thing that even kinda sorta worked up to that point was the Bigsby unit, and they were expensive as sin. Lotta machining, ball bearings, material cost, etc. in those things, and even then they weren't anything to write home about. They were just the best available at the time if you could afford one. Today, unless you're building a museum piece that'll never be played, they're really only suitable for adding weight to your weekly trash bag.

No, that would be the small animal trap called the 'Bigsby'.

I LOVE your ability to instantly change a thread from mocking a crappy Korean PRS with stock car ads on it (that costs more than normal!) to your normal rant about why vintage designs suck. You are awesome dude, that is some talent. I'm giving you shite, but it's cool. Cheers!

I like how the set screws on them dig into my palm. I don't ever actually use it, though :) It's locked down tight 24/7. So as far as me talking about six point trems and actually USING them.... That's sarcasm. However, I do like the aesthetic appeal of them, and they feel good under my palm. I agree it's a [expletive deleted] nightmare when it comes to actual trem use.  :icon_thumright:

Replace the set screws with button head screws...

It never even occurred to me that you wouldn't grind the bottoms off so that they didn't poke out, till this place. Of course, I used to think you were supposed to fix your frets and try different capacitors and stuff. Now I know - just screw everything together and hang it on the wall! Beats playin'....

(to grind them, obviously you mount them in a spare solid saddle and clamp that into your Vise-Grips - no you can't hold them in your fingers, Timmy.... tho it may trim your callouses!)
