That is mighty fine! I'd stay away from the blend pots, unless you want to spend a lot of time with resistors and caps and you're an expert at it. If the pickups aren't specifically matched well, the blend pots can make for some erratic combinations. It's the same sort of thing you get with the four-knob Gibson setup, but the sensitivity is even more magnified. I like the four-knob setup, but I've been playing with that for 35 years and I know what to do. Sometimes with a blend pot, you put it right in the middle and the tone just dies cause one pickup is sucking the zap out of the other - what to do?
