i wouldn't. i've never really met a strap i liked anyway, and i can only imagine chainmail would be uncomfortable. i guess it all depends on the size of the links. if they're small enough it might not be too bad. at least it would be better than the zakk wylde chain strap!

Please tell me this isn't some SCA thing.  I used to use a length of chain as a strap... for about a week until I could afford to buy a leather one again.  Shows to play facilitate crazy necessity   Un-frakking-comfortable.
