Hybrid Tele Pickguard = Strat Pickguard?

Does anyone know if the pickguard for the hybrid tele is the exact same dimensions as the strat pickguard?  I'm looking at a possible hybrid tele project, but I want to use a pre-wired start pickguard setup. Will it fit?

I think it will fit, but may not look great because of the Tele's smaller roundover and chunkier lower horn.

Why not get the pre-wired guard and transplant the parts to a hybrid guard? 8 screws, 3 nuts, done.

Technically, yes, it would fit. It would fit in the same way that a size 30 waist fits into a size 40 pair of jeans. In other words, there's going to be a lot of extra space. You will see a big gap between the pickguard and the edge of the body, particularly in the lower horn. This is for two reasons. 1) A Tele is larger in the horn area, and 2) a Tele has a smaller edge radius than a Strat, which gives it even more perceived surface area on the top.

Fat Pete has it right (as per usual). Transferring the electronics from one pickguard to the other is all of about 5 minute's work, and you won't be stuck with a waistband that lets your pants fall down. :)

Thanks guys! I hadn't see the "Will it fit?" PDFs before. Guess I'll have to re-wire or self-install... But that's the fun part, right?
