Hello...new here.
So I've got two warmoth guitars atm, strat style and flat top soloist style.
Soloist I did like 5 years and is definitely my favourite, strat sounds beautiful but is ridiculously heavy unfortunately...
Anyway! My point is, I've realised that the humbucker pickup rings on my soloist are slanted, not flat (and I got these from warmoth). Since there is no neck angle on this guitar, should I 'correct' this by changing them out or sanding it down? The little page says to use them for flat top guitars but I guess that doesn't have much to do with neck angle. http://www.warmoth.com/Short-Humbucker-Mounting-Ring-Cream-P850.aspx
The trem is a VS100 so I'd need two short.
I know allparts sells this but the shipping is like 25 dollars to australia...and the pickup rings are pretty expensive anyway.
And I wonder why warmoth even make them slanted instead of flat? Isn't the angling of the neck pocket a special option...? That is, warmoth usually makes fender style guitars so...confused I am. I mean sure slanted should be an option but flat should be default for warmoth guitars I believe? FYI, I don't want the metal style pickup rings so those were out of the question anyway (I want cream), but I think they have no angle....
Please do correct me if I'm wrong and tell me if this is important or not!
