How much does your guitar weigh?

I've recently finished a Jazzmaster guitar and as would be expected due to the body size on these things, it felt pretty heavy. I just checked it and it is a portly 9.9 lbs! It sounds very resonant and I am happy with it, but I was curious how much similar guitars weighed. Also some of the LP styles would have to be getting up in the double digits???

I haven't officially weighed my strat, but I think it's somewhere around 11lbs...  But then again, it IS solid maple body, maple/bloodwood fatback :P

Most of my guitars are around 8 pounds, give or take a half. Those are all Strats, VIPs, and Soloists. The exceptions are the Teles, which end up lighter. The two that are complete are like 6.5 and 7 pounds, and the two coming up I expect will be about the same. That's unusual for Teles, but these are all either hollow, chambered or of surprisingly light wood. Normally, Teles are kinda heavy. I'd expect them to be around 8.5-9 pounds for typical Fender offering.

My Fender Strat Plus is 8.27 lbs, and most Am Stds I've owned have been in the 8 lb region. My chambered Swamp Ash bodied Warmoth Strat weighs a very shoulder friendly 6.25 lbs, which is one  of the reasons I use it almost exclusively now.

From left to right:
Shedua - 9.8 pounds
Alder - 7.6 pounds
Koa - 8.6 pounds
Mahagony - 8.2 pounds
Padauk - 11.2 pounds!!!
Zebra - 9.2 pounds

I am surprised at how light the explorer is, considering its size.  Then there is the Padauk tele.  I should name it the Tele of Thor.

My 79 LP Custom is 10lbs , ES 339 6lbs ,  the chambered Walnute LPS I just finished about 5.5 , thinline Tele 4.5 lbs
