Okay, so it may be only temporary, but a new project has indeed put a halt to more guitar schemes.
This is a life-sized replica of a bull moose, cast in resin. I used a combination of analine dye markers and enamel paint to do the design...Fun stuff--it's going on the side of my barn.........
Next up- GRIZZLEY BEAR!

Very nice! It never relieved my gas, but I do love moose stew! (Seriously, the best stew I ever ate.)

Nice work! Seems like the side of the barn might be a risky place to put it, though.

It's got a metal bracket on the back, and I slathered it in poly to protect it from the elements...we'll see.

You're probably already aware but you can get all sorts of reproductions of rare skulls. Buddy of mine was into fossils, and the vast majority of them are just that - reproductions. He had some authentic pieces, but things like sabre-tooth tigers and such are available for pretty reasonable prices. Things look really authentic. If you weren't a paleontologist, you'd be very easily fooled. Although, the real ones -supposedly - aren't terribly expensive, either.

Yep--all kinds of replicas-that are truly realistic-are available from a number of sources...I wasn't kidding when I said ''Next up-GRIZZLY BEAR!''.
