Hipshot Type A String Thru or Non Thru for Gecko 6

Hi, I'm looking for the Gecko 6 body but I got the question about what is better or that is the benefit or what you can tell me about the Hipshop Type A String Thru versus the Non Thru for the Gecko 6.

Apologies for the zombie resurrection, but fwiw I've found the only issues w/ the Hipshot Type A string-thru on a 35" scale instrument like the Gecko is making sure your strings are long enough. I use Ken Smith "Extra Long Scale" and they fit perfectly.
