Hipshot tuner holes

I have some Hipshot open gear locking tuners, and I want to order a neck. The tuner hole size they need is 10mm, or 25/64. Do I order the neck with Schaller or Sperzel tuner holes? Or are they the same? Why have 2 different choices at the same size?

I have several necks with Hipshot tuners and I've always ordered the "Schaller" ream. I don't remember what the difference is though...

Schaller holes used to come in a stepped bore but are now straight. Sperzel were always a straight bore so the reason there are two choices is historical as they are now the same.

I have put Hipshots in the stepped bore and also the straight.
