@Spud I am posting a little less, so it may be that you just have not noticed the threads I have posted in.

The last haircut I had was about last September, so perhaps my fringe could do with a trim

Some lucky b*stards get to keep more hair than others. (Oh sure, I have a little tuft left) but this may be some kind of insidious worldwide conspiracy and I intend to get to the bald truth of the matter!

LOL as the big 60 is starring in the eyes, it’s starting to ebb a touch. Still need a cut every 6-7 weeks. I was worried I would be bald way sooner. I look like 2 people in my family, maternal uncle and paternal uncle. One went bald at 27, the other at 30. I was shaking in my boots at age 24 LOL

I may not have a popular or well-worn opinion on this matter. I think some men put way too much stock on the state of the hair (or lack of) on their head.

Their are a few truths I have found:
-Denial is never a good look. No matter how much or how little grass is in the field, pretending otherwise just makes you look foolish.
-Some men look better without hair. Ben Kingsley, Patrick Stewart, Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, etc. Find some pictures of these guys WITH hair. They look absolutely goofy with hair. And they sure as hell didn’t make any women swoon like they do without hair!!!
-If you are ALWAYS wearing a trucker hat (or baseball hat, whatever you want to call it), you have some unresolved issues you need to address. You’re not doing it to keep the sun out of your eyes way after dark, or to be “fashionable” at midnight inside your own house. We all know what the deal is. You may not be doing a comb-over, but you’re still engaging in active subterfuge. Stop it!!!

I know. It definitely can be a PITA!!!

I didn’t. I’m one of the lucky bastards! Maybe that’s part of the reason I don’t think it’s a big deal.

There are four of us brothers, no sisters. We’re only 8 years apart total. I’m the third. The oldest and youngest both lost it on top years ago. Me and the next oldest still have hair in our mid 50’s. We have been saying for years that we must be the mailman’s kids!!!

Most of the men on both sides have the little ring around the back and nothing on top. I was sure that would be my fate. I knew I would just get a really short buzz if I ended up the same way.

It’s receded a little bit in the last ten years, but not much.

I’m actually thinking of cutting mine really short again.

I’m glad us old farts are chiming in. My best friend hit 50 a few years ago. What I told him was, Once you hit 50, your check engine light is ALWAYS on. LOL

I can see that as the words have a similar sound. Out of interest, there was a high-altitude bomber called a Vulcan that the RAF used. So, some Vulcans can fly
