...I had to do it! :laughing7:

So yesterday I cot an email from Long & McQuade saying that some, but not all items in my order had arrivef for pickup. So as soon as I could, I drove down and picked up my new Gator 4 unit shallow rack, and my ART Pro Audio SP4x4 Pro power conditioner. ART is a canadian company, a division or Yorkville Sound, that makes great products.
Most people wouldn't get too excited about this, but to me, it's a sign that my Helix is that much closer to my hands. The led pipe lights on this are very bright, which I wasn't expecting. I thought they would be incandescent like the bnc light in the back.

I am a happy customer!  :headbang:

Very nice rack you have there indeed. So where you going to keep it once the Helix comes?

My arms... Haha.

It'll probably sit on my desk beside my laptop so i can record with it whenever i please. :guitarplayer2:

Makes sense. I've an audio interface right next to my computer, this is great cause whenever I feel like playing; pick up the guitar, plug it in, open GuitarRig, start playing. It's certainly convenient having something like that super close.

I didn't know ART was Canadian.
I had a really good - and basic - rack preamp, that they made (at least I think it was ART - it was a long time ago).

Yep, the factory is about an hour away from my house :headbang:
I've had various things from them in the past. They make a nice SM57 clone, as well as some pretty nice condensers, and i like their power conditioners because they compete with Furman's midrange ones, but they're half the price.

I'm actually on the hunt for a microphone. Do you know what the ART SM57 clone is called by any chance?

Apparently I was wrong, haha the clone was an Apex, which is the same company, and i recommend them as well. The two companies have great mics. So yeah, the Apex clone of an SM57 is called the Apex 775. And the ART condenser i had was the ART C3.

I'll have to check that mic out then. I've been looking at the Shure SM57 but it's too damn expensive over here in Australia.

Yeah I can imagine.
Prices in Canada for everything have been going up insanely high. The Les Paul Standard, is now the same price that the Les Paul Custom was about five years ago. It's painful.
