i have an awsome maple strat pickguard loaded with 2 creme color dimarzio humbuckers, what body wood will good with this center piece

Is there any possible scenario in which Walnut is not the best choice for Maple? Aesthetically, no two woods on the planet mate better than Walnut and Maple. :blob7:

Maple necks need finishes. And there is likely to be a mismatch between the two cuts.
