Folks,

The CBC (which is Canada's national broadcaster - kind of a canuk BBC) plays original Canadian music.  However, they do it based on popularity.

I've managed to get both my bands registered on the BBC3 website, but in order to get played, we need web hits on our pages.  This means we need your help!

Specifically, we need you to:

1 - sign up as a member on CBC Radio 3 by going to radio3.cbc.ca/, clicking on "Become A Member" and following the instructions.  Please do this for every email account you have :)

2 - Once logged in, go to the EFARM page on the cbc radio 3 site and click on "Be A Fan Of this Artist".  Then listen to a few songs on the same page and click on the "thumbs up" symbol beside the player for each song you listen to.  This will help get that song played on the radio.  Here's the link:
radio3.cbc.ca/bands/EFARM

3 - do the same for Cornflower Blue (Trevor and Theresa's side project).  Here's the link:

Please help us get played on the CBC by becoming a fan and giving the thumbs up to our songs!

I didn't even KNOW there was a radio 3!  I barely ever tune into radio 2.  I'll have to get this done for you. and maybe even tune into it.

Y'all only have 3 radio stations up there? Seems like there was a lot more last I was in Toronto? You got my vote nonetheless

CBC is Canada's national broadcaster.  There are 3 different "stations" that broadcast a variety of material in both English and French, and can be heard across the country.  There are A LOT more private, regional radio stations (all owned by 3 of 4 companies, however).  There are at least 30 different FM stations that I can think of off the top of my head in the Greater Toronto area alone .....

Always happy to help out a fellow Warmother... :headbang1:
I have 3 email accounts and will have them all logged on as members before the days end.
Best of luck  :eek:ccasion14:

I've been a radio one guy since I was about 10, I love the CBC, its a hell of a lot better than any of the corporate radio stations around.  You guys down south should tune in sometime.  One of my favorite shows is called Vinyl Tap and it's hosted by Randy Bachman.  I think he records it in his home or something.  He just plays old records from his hey-day and talks about the people he knew and gives behind the scenes info about what happened "back then" the whole time playing his guitar and giving the odd guitar lesson over the air.  It's brilliant. I'm pretty sure you can listen to it from anywhere at cbc.ca  and I'm sure that goes for this band to.  You'll just have to go to the radio 3 site instead of the radio 1 site.

One of the best jazz radio stations I've ever heard was in Toronto, but don't remember the frequency/call sign

at work now. Will do whne I get home.  :icon_thumright:

You've posted some cool clips before, I'm sure the stuff is great!

I set up a playlist to try to boost your play count.  It's having this weird unintended side effect....a few people at work have expressed interest!
