I have inlaid some mother of pearl onto two of my wenge necks. One on my Cabronita and the other onto my Jazzmaster. They were looking like they needed something on there!!

Very nice! I feel the same way, a headstock NEEDS something to set it off.

Agreed. Warmoth really needs to get off their ass and find a provider for those embossed metal logos they used to sell. I don't understand the waiting. It's really in their best interests to make such things available. What if Fender or Gibson stopped providing decals or inlays to promote their names? People would freak.

The Les Paul 100 "Signature" on the new LP being a prime example, if folks lost their cookies over that can you imagine what would happen with No Logo, I think it would probably break the internet.

I used a modified dremel router. I made a smaller base similar to the one stew mac sells. I also bought a set of 4 micro router bits, the smallest is 1/32" ! The hardest part was trying to figure out how to mark such a dark wood as wenge. I ended up getting a stick on label that was a decent size and then used a .3mm pen to mark the outline. I obtained the letters and symbol from DePaule supply. They have a really nice range of stuff on their site. Nice to deal with too.

Thanks for the update. I have one of those Stew Mac dremel bases and bits for the work , I still need to use them on a project. Get back GAS  :laughing7:
